Events- the Boast & Toast Series

The Independent Boast & Toast evenings were created in 2007 as a joint venture between the Industry SOS, local pubs and some of Ontario's craft beer producers. The idea is to bring a small group of brewers to a locally owned restaurant to showcase their brews and give them a chance to speak directly to both local proprietors and Toronto's beer-enthusiast community. Ideally, the proprietor(s) and the brewers foster a mutually beneficial business relationship, while taking advantage of the advertising and publicity associated with the event.

We're proud to say that the Boast & Toast series is an example that good business can equate to good will- all expenses (advertising, memorabilia, etc) are covered by a nominal ticket fee per guest, allowing the brewers and pub to focus on hospitality. The guests enjoy a few hours of sampling beers, meeting local brewers, a commemorative pint glass and a beer-paired tasting menu- and for ~$40 at the latest event, all agreed it was a great deal and a fun evening.

The next Boast & Toast is currently in the works, and should be appearing on calendars this May, 2008. Keep posted for further information.
